Graphic Design degrees teach you how to communicate a message by using visual creative content. The courses that are offered are the essential learning to the basics of visual hierarchy, typography, and pictures, to create messages that are visually appealing and easy to understand.  However, it is the student who discovers how to optimise the skills they learned and while enabling their creative flair to each project.

Certificate Graphic Design Introduction

Our Certificate Graphic Design Introduction is a 10-week QQI Accredited course. It will introduce you to the core principles of graphic design, if you are new to graphic design this would be the course for you. Topics covered include illustration, concept development, typography, poster design, logo design and branding. We offer part-time day and evening options offering in-class or online learning. After successful completion of the course, you may be eligible to progress into term 2 of our 1 Year QQI Certificate in Graphic Design.

1 Year QQI Certificate in Graphic design

Additionally our 1 Year QQI Certificate in Graphic Design is more advanced than our 10-week introductory course. This course will introduce you to a comprehensive range of skills, knowledge, and the principles of design. You will be introduced to industry-standard software, and you will gain experience of using it to implement your design solutions.

At DDI you will be given realistic briefs mirroring real-world scenarios, allowing you to experiment with techniques and processes.  We offer flexible part-time day and evening options for this course. After successful completion of the course you will receive a QQI Level 6 certificate in Graphic Design.

Certificate in Digital Applications

Certificate in Digital Applications is another one of our QQI Accredited courses. The course provides an introduction to the popular Adobe Creative Suite including; Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.

The course runs every Saturday over an week period. Throughout the 8 weeks, you will learn how to create illustrations and vector art in Adobe Illustrator, import and manipulate photographs in Adobe Photoshop and create compositions and editorial layouts in Adobe InDesign.
