Course Description
This inspiring 8-week online course, from leading stylist Laura Jordan of StyleSavvy.ie, offers a fascinating insight into the world of fashion and style, and covers a wide range of topics, including colour theory, body shape, wardrobe detoxing and accessorising. Make-up, hair and skincare are also covered by a top industry professional.
Course Content
This course is ideal if you are looking to learn more about your own personal style, or to explore the areas of Personal Shopping and Image Consultancy on a professional basis
This course will enable participants to:
- Understand the basic principles of colour theory and analysis
- Determine the cuts and styles that work for different body shapes
- Organise a wardrobe effectively to create a plan and a purpose for shopping
- Create effective capsule wardrobes of co-ordinating separates
- Advise clients on make-up and hair themes to suit individual style, chosen garments and accessories.

Admissions requirements
Applicants aged under 23 must have successfully completed the Leaving Cert / comparable secondary school examination, or hold another qualification at Level 5 or higher on the National Framework for Qualifications (NFQ).

Language Requirements
We welcome international students to our courses. If English is not your first language, evidence of proficiency is required. This can be provided through a recognised English test result or qualified by experience e.g. where an individual has been working in an English speaking environment for 12 months +.
Certification
Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded a Dublin Design Institute (DDI) Certificate in Personal Shopping and Image Consultancy.

We encourage our students to look at our short courses as a pathway to other options and courses as well as our nationally accredited and internationally recognised degree programmes in Graphic and Interior Design.
